SONG: “Times of Refreshing, Here in Your Presence”

God wants to anoint you with a new end-time prophetic prayer anointing. We are in the end-times just before Jesus comes back for us, and soon the judgments prophesied in Revelation will be poured out on all those who reject Jesus Christ. In Luke 21:36, Jesus tells us, “Watch ye therefore and pray always that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass and to stand before the Son of Man.” You can take a world history course in any major university in America and learn a grim fact. There has never been a time in history when mankind has not used the weapons he has made. There are now enough nuclear and biological warfare weapons stockpiled to kill every woman, man and child on the face of the earth. Earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, famines and other natural disasters are bringing widespread devastation and death. Disease is rapidly spreading across the world. The continent of Africa has 10.4 million orphans because of the AIDS plague. The signs of the end-times which we can read in Luke 21 are upon us. In Luke 21:7, the disciples asked Jesus, “Master, but when shall these things be and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?” Jesus, after telling them all the signs to look for, replied in Luke 21:28, “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up and lift up your heads, for your redemption draweth nigh.” Jesus tells us in Matthew 24:14, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

God at this time wants to bring you into a new anointing for powerful strategic warfare prayer. Will you receive it? He is releasing this last great prayer anointing to enable the Church to fulfill the Great Commission and bring in the last and greatest harvest of souls in the history of the Church. Eph. 6:12 says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against power, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” He wants to release this prayer anointing so that you can be an overcomer in every situation. The battle must first be won on your face before God through weeping, travailing, interceding and battling these evil spirits with the mighty weapon of prayer. (Tell them story of Rudi.) “Rudi’s lungs are full of cancer. There’s nothing we can do except give him something for pain. Take him home. the doctors said. Eight-year-old Rudi had waking in the middle of the night, screaming from pain in his chest. His mother took him to local doctors in Limon, Costa Rica, but they were busy attending to victims of a recent earthquake. After making a quick diagnosis, they gave Rudi a simple prescription. Still the pain persisted. Finally Rudi and his mother boarded a bus and traveled over the mountains to National Children’s Hospital in San Jose, Costa Rica’s capital. Doctors there diagnosed lung cancer. Rudi’s mother refused to believe that her son’s time on earth was nearly over. As the Christian education teacher at a Latin America Child Care School, she had taught children about the power of god. She had heard the doctors’ diagnosis; now she needed to hear from the Great Physician. Back in Limon, Rudi’s mother called the school’s director and all of Rudi’s classmates. They fasted, held all-night prayer vigils and formed a constant chain of intercession for Rudi. Area churches joined them in prayer. Each new day was a gift for Rudi, another battle won in prayer. Slowly, the pain in his body subsided. He began to sleep through the night. A few weeks later, Rudi’s lungs didn’t hurt at all. He felt strong and ready to play. Rudi’s mother took him back to the children’s hospital. The doctors were amazed! They had assumed he was dead! A new set of tests showed that Rudi’s lungs were clear. The cancer had totally disappeared! Rudi is now laughing and full of life. Through the prayers of his friends, he had become a miracle!”1 (Tell them the story of the most successful missionary.) One of the most successful missionaries of the Assembly of God had one retired man who had one-God-given assignment. The retired man interceded for the missionary around the clock. Do you see where I’m taking you. ? The battle was won in prayer BEFORE the healing was manifested in Rudi’s lungs. The battle was won in prayer by the old man on his knees BEFORE the missionary ever opened his mouth. God is going to have a people in this end-time hour. His hand will be strong upon them. His glory will cover them. They will operate in a new level and spiritual dimension of prayer that will enable them to supersede every natural limitation. God’s anointing will be so strong upon them they will be living witnesses to the world that Jesus is Who He claims to be . . . the Son of the living God . . . the Savior of the world.

God has willed that his purposes be carried out asking in prayer. Jesus overcame Satan’s power on the cross, but the enforcement of this victory is in our hands. It is our job to see to it that the victory Jesus won is enforced on this earth. Prayer is enforcing and establishing God’s will in the earth as it is done in heaven. God wills it in heaven and a man wills it on the earth and enforces it with his prayer. God’s will is done in heaven, but it is not done on earth unless you pray. God has made you a copartner in the kingdom through prayer. You are bringing down the strongholds of the enemy, the evil spirits and principalities so that God’s will will be done in the affairs and situations of men here on earth. If you do not pray, God does not move. If you do pray, God will remove every evil obstacle. It is the most powerful force on the face of the earth. The future belongs to the intercessor.

Would all who would like to receive this new powerful prayer anointing to pray that God is now releasing, please stand.

(PRAYER) - Father, in the Name of Jesus, I boldly approach the throne to ask you for this last great end-time prophetic prayer anointing to be imparted to each of these persons. I bind all fear and doubt of the enemy and loose these your children to exercise the miracle working power of God through prayer. I ask you to open their minds, hearts and spirits to learn the key truths of this prayer anointing in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
(Please be seated.)

The 1st key to powerful prayer is understanding your position of authority and power.

Jesus came to earth to destroy the works of the devil. In 1 John 3:8, we read “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil.” He was sent by God to fulfill God’s plan and purpose of redeeming mankind unto Himself. . so we could have an eternal relationship with him again. The power and authority Jesus possessed superseded all earthly power and all the power of Satan. Through the divine power and authority Jesus was given, He immediately began to exercise power and take dominion over Satan’s power in the lives of those Satan had bound and oppressed. Jesus healed the sick, cast out devils and delivered all those who were oppressed by Satan’s power. Do you have love and compassion towards those who are bound by Satan’s power?

In Luke 9:1, Jesus called His disciples together and gave them the same power and authority he had over all devils and to cure diseases and to do all the works that he did.

In Acts 3, Peter and John went to the temple and found a lame man crippled since birth and Peter said unto him, “Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have, I give thee. In the name of Jesus Christ, rise up and walk.” Peter and the other disciples were not healing people in their own power and authority. They spoke healing and cast out demons in the power and authority of Jesus’ name. In the power and authority of Jesus’ name, they took dominion and established the kingdom of God wherever they went. They enforced the will of God to be done down here on earth by their prayers in Jesus’ name. Peter had love and compassion for the crippled man who had been bound by Satan all the years since his birth, and he was able to set him free by the words which he spoke over him.

Jesus had told the disciples, and he is telling you in John 14: 12-13. “He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the father may be glorified in the Son.”

Jesus tells us in Luke 10:19, “Behold, I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions and even over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall in any way harm you.” You can have the same power and authority Jesus and his disciples demonstrated when they walked upon this earth 2000 years ago. It’s yours, it legally belongs to you. Jesus Christ wants to activate it in your life and ministry through your prayers. Christ has given you divine power and authority to pull down every stronghold, bring into subjection every thought and bring down everything that exalts itself above the knowledge of God.

Your mouth is an instrument of authority to cause you to rule and reign in the presence of your enemies. Your words, anointed and imparted by the Holy Spirit as you pray, set dominion. They enforce God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. The angels execute what you are saying. Through prayer, you can change the spiritual atmosphere and environment in your homes, in your churches and your nation. When Jesus prayed, all of heaven was at His disposal. God wants you to grasp that as you pray, all of heaven is at your disposal. He wants you to grasp, to lay claim to and use the power and authority that you have through prayer in Jesus’ name.

The 2nd key for powerful praying is binding and loosing.

In Matthew 16:19, Jesus gave believers the power to bind and loose. He said, “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” What he is saying is that what you bind (declare to be wrong and unlawful and stopped ) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven, (meaning God’s will) and whatever you loose (declare lawful and to be done) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven, for we know that God’s will is done in heaven. For instance, if you pray in Jesus’ name that your son’s spirit of rebellion against God be bound and that the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ be loosed in his life, God will do it, for that would be God’s will. Jesus has given us power and authority to move the powers in the unseen realm . . . those in heavenly places. Our prayers are things of substance that change the world on the level of the Spirit, where the real action takes place. You are waging war in the heavenlies with your prayers binding the spirits of evil from Satan and his horde of demons . . . sin, sickness, death, hate, lust, greed, laziness, unbelief, fear, anxiety, and danger. You are loosening the spirits of God . . . salvation, love, peace, joy, righteousness, healing, deliverance, abundance, and the list of God’s riches and blessings are too long to mention here. Binding stops the enemy’s attacks and loosening causes God’s will to be done in the situation.

In Matthew 12:28-29, Jesus told us that it is impossible to take the possessions of Satan away from him without first of all binding him. The possessions which are to be taken from him are his most prized possessions of all . . . lost individuals enslaved by him including those who are demon possessed. Do you have love and compassion for those who are bound by Satan? . .enough to pray for them?

You can use binding and loosing over every problem, situation and challenge. You can bind the power of the enemy to work in your life, home, community and church fellowship, city and nation. You can loose the will of God into every problem, situation and challenge in your life, home, community and church fellowship, city and nation.

Let’s give you a little practice. Those of you who asked for the anointing, please stand up. Let’s pray and bind any spirit of strife and division in your home. Pray with me. “Father God, I pray seated with Christ in heavenly places, and I rule and reign from that position of divine authority. I come to your throne and I bind every evil spirit of strife, division or unbelief in my home. In Jesus’ name, you must go. The word of God is against you. The blood of Jesus is against you. I loose spirits of salvation, love, joy and peace to fill my household, and I declare that all my family shall be saved. My house belongs to God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen. (Please be seated.)

The 3rd key for powerful praying is to always pray in the name of Jesus.

Matthew 28:18, we read, And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” It was in the name of Jesus that Peter told the cripple to rise up and walk. It is the authority and the power which God has given Jesus. When it is spoken in faith, there is power to the prayer that asks in Jesus’ name. Use the authority and power of Jesus’ name. John 16:23 tells us, “ Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father, he will give it to you in my name. Hitherto you have asked nothing in my name; ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” Believers are to pray, preach, teach, baptize, cast out demons, heal the sick, and overcome every power of the enemy through the Name of Jesus. The Name of Jesus is more powerful than any other Name.

The 4th key for powerful prayer is the blood of Jesus.

It is through the blood that we have access to God the Father. In the old temple before Christ came, there was a veil, behind which the high priest alone entered once every year and offered sacrifice for his sins and the sins of the people in the Holy of Holies. At the time when Jesus died on the cross, this veil of the temple was torn in two pieces. Matthew 27:50-51 tells us, “Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And behold, the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom.” Jesus has paid the price for us to come into the very presence of God by his blood on the cross. We enter into the Holy of Holies . . . God’s presence through the blood of Jesus. Always come through the blood. Be in the presence of God when you are praying.

A 5th key to powerful prayer is fasting.

Fasting, in the simplest definition is going without food. A total fast is when you do not eat or drink at all. When God was ready to wipe out every trace of the children of Israel because of their rebellion and disobedience, Moses fasted and prayed for forty days and God changed His mind and Israel was spared. The story is in Exodus 32: 9-14. The entire city of Ninevah repented and fasted and prayed when Jonah told them God was going to destroy them in forty days because of their wickedness. God spared the city. So you can turn God’s judgment around with repentance, fasting and prayer. Ester and the Jews prayed and fasted totally for three days when they found out Haman had plotted to destroy them, and God intervened to deliver them from death and they were saved. Fasting and prayer will deliver you from danger. The story is in Ester 4. The partial fast is when your diet is restricted - you give up certain desirable foods while you seek the Lord to intervene. Daniel in Daniel 10 tells us he ate no sweets or meats for three whole weeks to get an answer from God.

In Isaiah 58 - God explicitly states that His chosen fast is to loose the bands of wickedness, to left heavy burdens, to set the oppressed free and to break every bondage. Read Isaiah 58 and you will begin to see what fasting will do for you. The first benefit is that God begins to reveal Himself to you. God says in verse 9, “Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; You shall cry, and He will say Here am I”. You will receive direction. Isaiah 58:11 says, “The Lord will guide you continually” if you fast and pray. You will receive provision. Isaiah 58:11 says, God will satisfy your soul in drought.” God will provide for you in both materially and spiritually lean times if you fast and pray. You will receive rejuvenation: Verse 11 also declares that God will “strengthen your bones”. You will receive restoration. Verse 12 indicates that you and your spiritual seed “shall build the old waste places, raise up the foundations of many generations . . . and you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of the streets to dwell in.”

If Jesus needed to fast, how much more so do we? In Matthew 4, Jesus was lead by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness, and he fasted and prayed for 40 days. At the conclusion of this 40-day fast, Jesus experienced a tremendous confrontation with Satan. We read that he was victorious over Satan’s temptation because of his fasting and prayer. The Holy Spirit descended on Jesus at the time of His baptism. The Holy Spirit’s power, which Jesus received at the time of His baptism in Jordan, emerged in its full manifestation after fasting. Fasting was the final phase of preparation through which he passed before launching His earthly ministry. It enabled Him to face every onslaught of the enemy and emerge 100% victorious. Beloved, the same powerful spiritual key that Jesus used is available to you . . . fasting.

Prayer with fasting was a powerful practice of the early Church. In Acts 9, Paul was three days without sight and neither did eat nor drink. This fast resulted in a tremendous revelation of the Messiah and an anointing for ministry.

New testament leaders were selected and ordained with fasting. In Acts 14:23, we read, “And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.”

God told the disciples whom to separate for missionary service while the disciples were fasting and praying. In Acts 13:2, we read, “As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, ‘Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.’”

What Jesus taught about fasting is found in the Sermon on the Mount. In Matthew 6: 16-18 , he says, “ When you fast”. . .notice he did not say IF you fast. “Moreover when you fast, be not as the hypocrites of a sad countenance for they disfigure their faces that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head and wash thy face that thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father, which is in secret and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.” Jesus also taught the importance of fasting when dealing with demonic powers. In Mark 9:29, he explained to his disciples that this kind of demon only went out by prayer and fasting. Do you have love and compassion for those bound by Satan enough to fast while you pray? More and more as the end-time approaches, we will encounter these kinds of situations . . . critical dilemmas we have never before experienced and our victory over this kind will necessitate fasting. Examine the motives for your fast. It should not be something to make you look more spiritual. You do not fast to earn God’s blessing. There is a subtle danger in thinking that if you fast enough, God will be sure to answer you or if you fast enough God will pay attention to your prayer. God’s ear is always open to you. As His child, you are already blessed. These things cannot be earned by frantic fasting. They are given to us through His grace and mercy. Do not fast as a substitute for obedience. Don’t try to bribe God with your fast. God clearly told the people in Isaiah 58 to stop their quarreling, correct their injustices, help the needy and lift the burdens of others if they expected God to answer when they prayed and fasted. Fasting means putting all else aside so you can seek the Lord with all your attention on Him, worshipping, ministering unto him and seeking his face.

A 6th key to powerful prayer is holiness.

In James 4:8 God’s word says, “Cleanse your hands you sinners, and purify your hearts, ye double minded.” To cleanse our hands has to do with what we do. Purifying your hearts has to do with what we think. . .our thought life, our feelings, our emotions. . .This is the Lord’s call to holiness. It includes actions and attitudes. Holiness is essential for powerful prayer. We cannot regard iniquity in our hearts or the Lord will not hear our prayers, and the enemy will defeat us. If we have lawlessness or rebellion in our hearts, any known repeated sin, we are open to defeat because He will not hear us. So we must develop holiness . . .every believer is called to be holy. David tells us in Psalm 34: 15 and 17, “The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. The righteous cry and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of their troubles.” Proverbs 15:29 says, “The Lord is far from the wicked, but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.”

The 7th key is an intimate relationship with God.

John 15:7 tells us, “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.” This is your personal relationship with God . . . your personal prayer life. It is very vital, very essential in order to do effective prayer warfare. Your personal prayer life is the key by which you can measure the quality of your relationship to God. If you are praying 10-to-15 minutes a day, you have a certain quality of relationship to God. If you are praying an hour a day, the quality of your relationship to God increases. If you are praying four hours a day, then that is the quality of your relationship with God. So you can see, your prayer life is the gauge. . .it is the measure of your relationship to God. It is this intimacy with God that is our primary goal. Your primary goal in life is intimacy with God and that comes through prayer.

This intimacy with God is the sustaining power in our lives. It sustains us in the battles, and through this sustaining relationship with God, we daily experience very good blessings. We experience daily forgiveness, renewal, and refreshment. As we draw near to God, he draws near to us. He strengthens us for that day. He touches us. He answers our prayers. If we pray daily, we’ll be in relationship with him daily. We will have a daily power imparted to us for righteous living, for being able to live against the tide of the world. That power comes from this intimacy. It is only when we have an intimate relationship with God that we can truly hear his voice. If you truly want to hear the voice of God, you must get still before him and pray, and you will hear his voice if you listen. We can discern his will in this way. You’ll begin to understand the heart of God, You’ll begin to understand his ways, which are very important in the battle. So we can see that the true essence of prayer is the relationship of intimacy with the Father . . .that is what prayer really is. . .it is that relationship with the Father.

The 8th key to powerful prayer is the Holy Spirit.

All prayer should be Spirit led, Spirit inspired. There are many ways to pray in the Spirit. For without the Holy Spirit, we don’t know how we should pray, but he helps our weakness in that area. When we are praying with known words and our understanding, the Holy Spirit is inspiring us to pray in known words and with our own understanding. When we are praying in tongues, the Holy spirit speaks through you, praying directly to God according to the will of God. It is very powerful. Romans 8:28 tells us, “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities; for we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” You can pray without any words, which may consists of groaning and crying.

Worship and praise is intercessory prayer. The powers of the enemy are literally bound by worship and praise. Many of the hymns of the church carry an anointing to release captives from Satan’s hold. The next time you have a sickness which you want to carry to God in prayer, try singing this little chorus over it until that spirit of infirmity is gone.

The devil had me bound, but Jesus set me free.
Well, the devil had me bound, but Jesus set me free.
The devil had me bound, but Jesus set me free;
Singing glory, Hallelujah, Jesus set me free.
          Author Unknown

I’ll sing it again and then I want you to sing it with me.

Other valid expressions and emotions of prayer include jumping, dancing, leaping, rejoicing, walking and marching, singing, clapping, shouting, holy laughter and joy.

The 9th key for powerful prayer is discipline.

Discipline calls for
(1) Self-denial. We must be willing to embrace discipline in our lives. . Submit yourself to discipline. Discipline your time, get rid of your bad habits, bad thoughts, set aside a regular time to pray and stick to it.
(2) Humility is another area of discipline we need to embrace. Discipline ourselves to be humble before God . . .acknowledge our utter dependence on God . . for everything.
(3) Love is a discipline . In Romans 5:5b we read, “because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, which has been given to us.” We must allow the love that has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit to come through us to others. Let the love flow.
(4) Hardships - sometimes we must suffer; there are trials and tribulations and testings. Sometimes we suffer persecution for righteousness sake.

The 10th key to receiving a powerful prayer anointing is unity.

It is essential to keep the unity of the body of Christ for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Church. Unity in our relationships is vital. The enemy at all costs wants to thwart unity. That is why he brings spirits of division, spirits of condemnation and criticism to separate the brethren. He knows once he can separate you from your brother or sister in Christ, he can reign. We will not have the power unless we are in harmony . . in one accord . . .in the same Spirit. The great anointing and power that God is wanting to pour out will come only if we are in unity. Be repentant, get reconciled, be forgiving, don’t hold grudges, be forbearing towards one another, as God through Jesus has forgiven you. We must get that into us before we can proceed with powerful prayer. At the first Pentecost. . . they had one heart, one mind and were of one accord. There hearts were together and then the great outpouring came. That is what we want. Fight to keep the unity and then we can enter into this powerful prayer anointing that God is releasing.

There is more to prayer than I can give you in a 40 minute sermon, but learning to pray is a growing process . . . conforming you more into the image of Jesus everyday. Get started and ask the Holy Spirit to come and teach and guide you.

Will all who asked for this end-time prophetic prayer anointing, those who stood the first time, please stand and any others who would like to join them.? Prepare your spirit to receive this anointing. Have your heart, soul, mind and spirit in RECEIVE mode. (Can call up and anoint each one with oil if a small number have stood. If large number respond, have ushers prepared to anoint with oil.)

PRAYER
I pray that God will enable you to see the position of dominion, power and authority and might that He wants you to take with Christ in the heavenlies and that you will see Christ as your great High Priest interceding for you.

I pray that you will enter into this new dimension of power in prayer as you learn to abide in Christ and allow His Words to abide in you.

I pray that this end-time prophetic prayer anointing will come upon you and cover you. I pray that you will live under this prayer anointing, that you will pray as you arise every morning. I pray that during the day you will be surrounded by a prayer atmosphere and that before you sleep at night, you will spend time alone with God.

I pray that God will release a mighty anointing upon you to pray prayers that will release His power to work in your life, in your family, in your finances and in all of your circumstances.

I pray that He will open your spiritual eyes to see His plan and purpose in this end-time hour, and that you will pray bold, prophetic prayers to destroy the strongholds of the enemy and bring in the harvest of the nations. I pray that every prayer you pray will accomplish His will and will bring glory to HIM. In Jesus’ mighty name.

Now I want you to pray, “Father God, I RECEIVE this powerful end-time prophetic prayer anointing. I commit myself to pray as the Holy Spirit leads, and I rejoice that I am a copartner with you in building the Kingdom. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Have someone sing “The Lord’s Prayer.”
